We are excited to announce that the first playable build of World of Osso is now available through the launcher. This milestone represents months of foundational work across rendering, networking, and game systems — and while there is a long road ahead, you can now log in, move through the world, and experience it firsthand. Download the launcher, let it sync the game files, and step in.

In this build you can explore the starting zone: a rugged coastal lowland with rolling terrain, scattered ruins, and ambient creature spawns. Basic movement, jumping, and camera control are in place and feel solid. Combat is early but functional — you can engage nearby enemies with a small ability set, observe health and resource bars, and see the beginnings of the threat and aggro system working. We encourage you to push on the edges and report anything that feels wrong, since your feedback at this stage shapes the foundation everything else is built on.

What's Coming Next

The immediate focus after this release is WMO building rendering and water, which will make the world feel dramatically more complete. Alongside that we are working on character customisation, the first pass of the ability system with proper cooldown and resource feedback, and improvements to the launcher's differential update pipeline so patch downloads stay fast. We will continue shipping builds through the launcher as features land rather than batching them up — expect frequent small updates.
